Ok I am going to try this again, as it has been months (maybe even years) since I was last blogging regularly.

Almost at the halfway point of my 4th year here at UW-Milwaukee and it's turning out to be my most productive/best semester yet which I needed after last year. I've been working at the UWM Bookstore since August as a cashier. First as a rush cashier originally for just 3 weeks, then as a permanent part-time cashier after being receiving one of the 4-5 permanent part-time positions among 35 rushes. Working as a cashier at the bookstore has given me a steady paycheck during school which is very nice to have. I enjoy working there, meeting new people and just basically improving my standing for after school which is coming soon in about a year and a half.

I've been hanging out with a couple friends once a week or so usually just hanging out, playing some Rock Band 1/2 (don't mess with us, The Kings of Newton, as well kick some major ass haha) or basically just chillin'. I have to admit that as the vocalist of our band, I have gotten pretty good at singing over the year or so we've been playing together (it's that Kelly musical talent in me I guess haha). I am addicted to singing games now as I have several Singstar titles (80s, 90s and Amped) and I just love them.

I turned 21 in March and I must admit that there is nothing better than just sitting back with a few close friends and enjoying some Mike's Hard Lemonade or Smirnoff flavors while grilling out at the beach or just relaxing watching tv or playing some Rock Band 1/2. I am definatley glad that I am not among the group of most college students who binge drink. In my opinion, you should drink to relax and just chill with friends, not drink just to get drunk, what kind of fun is in that?

Well I suppose that's all I have for now...until later, DK.

Not a whole lot going on...just getting stuff finalized and packed to get ready to move back to Milwaukee on Saturday...still amazes me that this will be my 3rd year of college already....well thats all I have for now...more later, DK.

The last month has gone by pretty fast, mainly because it was so busy. The time between midterms and Thanksgiving is usually a pretty busy time. So I have been spending a lot of my time at the Library doing some reading, in fact thats where I am going after I finish this post. Oh, and - the St. Louis Cardinals are finally WORLD SERIES CHAMPS again!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a season! I really did not see this finish during the dog days of late September. These guys played their best ball at the best time and they deserve this win - well all of them except Jason Marquis who is just a little pansy. I'm going home next Wednesday I believe for Thanksgiving so it'll be nice to get away from reading for a couple days. Well, I am going to head to the library - Derick.

Let's see, another week has passed and another week is about to begin. It really seems like these weeks are moving by really fast....sometimes too fast to even do all the reading that I need to do for classes. Few more midterms this upcoming week so fun fun. Been watching the Cards play some impressive baseball the last few days (although you wouldn't be able tell by watching tonight). Selling plasma has been pretty nice...making $50 extra a week is great. Well I guess that's all I have for tonight - Derick.

It's been a long time since I updated anything at all, so I decided to move my Xanga updates to over here. Hard to believe that it's October 5th already! This 2nd year of college has been going pretty good so far with my classes being alright. Did a nice batch of baseball autographing during September with a fair amount of success. Almost won a trip for 2 to Las Vegas at the last Brewers home game (they called my seat # from the game I was at 2 days before) so I was upset haha...although I prolly would have sold the trip for always needed money anyways. Still no job yet...i'm not sure why I never hear anything back when I apply for jobs over here...but who knows. I've been selling plasma 2x a week though so that brings in about $50 extra each week. I actually went today (I go every Thursday and Saturday afternoons). My last class for the week gets done at 12:15 on Thursday, so I have Thursday 12:15 pm til Monday 11 am as my weekend. As far as this weekend goes, I am going to go sell plasma Saturday and also watch the Cards - Padres game 3....otherwise just reading and studying for a few midterms next week. Well I am going to go watch the rest of the Cardinals game.....Keep on rollin' St. Louis!!!

Until next time, Derick.
